my name is francis stieglitz. i was born in munich in 1990 and trained as an art teacher and designer. at the moment i work as a social designer in berlin.
my work as an artist is a mixture of painting, drawing and graphics. i work with different materials, mainly acrylic, watercolour, marker and oil. also i enjoy creating my own painting and drawing surfaces from paper, wood and fabric. in my work i explore themes of closeness and distance. bodies meeting, attracting and repelling each other. i am also interested in natural phenomena such as light and water reflections.
in 2024 i have moved into my own studio in the north of berlin. since then, i have been documenting my process. But as i am not satisfied with sharing this on social media, i am returning to blogging, like it´s 2010 again. i hope this will help me focus and enjoy documenting my work.
